Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most famous role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
